3- Days of Seminars with Megan Foster
2015 European Open Team USA Member, Megan Foster is a dog agility National Champion, multiple-time Regional Champion, and multiple-time National finalist. Her handling theories focus on the dog’s path and how to maintain efficiency throughout an agility course. Megan’s positive outlook and in-depth look at handling brings a new level of understanding to agility handling.
Weekend Schedule:
- July 10th
- 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Handler Skills: Tips for a warm-up routine, running mechanics, footwork, and placement of reward. This is a handler-only work shop. Dogs will not be worked.
Limited to 8 working teams: $100/person and unlimited auditors: $30/person - 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM Handler + Dog Skills: Do you find some courses just impossible? This workshop will focus on those “impossible” challenges: how to train for them and master their complexity, making your next trial run “easy-peasy”.
Limited to 8 working teams: $100/person and Unlimited auditors: $30/person

- July 11th
- 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Dog Skills: Training commitment to jumps/obstacles, forward drive, and handler focus vs obstacle focus.
- Limited to 8 working teams: $100/team and unlimited auditors $30/person
- 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Handler Skills: Tips for a warm-up routine, running mechanics, footwork, and placement of reward. This is a handler only work shop. Dogs will not be worked.
Limited to 8 working teams: $100/person and unlimited auditors: $30/person - 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Lecture and Q&A: Creating a Plan for the future, National/International Competitions? The path to qualifying, how to prep your dog & yourself, creating a timeline & goal setting. &/or Open Discussion, time permitting. Bring your questions, concerns, and thinking cap for this open discussion with Megan. Training and trialing questions will be answered.
- Unlimited participant spots: $20/person (Optional BBQ Dinner $10.00)
- July 12th
- 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Handler + Dog Skills: Training acel/decel cues and applying them to front crosses, rear crosses, and “fancy” turns.
Limited to 8 working teams $100/team and unlimited auditors $30/person - 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Dog Skills: Training tight turns, sends to the backside, and how to get out of the dog’s way on a backside jump.
Limited to 8 working teams $100/team and unlimited auditors $30/person
- 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Handler + Dog Skills: Training acel/decel cues and applying them to front crosses, rear crosses, and “fancy” turns.
- These seminars will be held outside on grass weather permitting. If the weather is poor, the seminars will be moved indoors on packed dirt.
- Snacks and bottled water will be provided for humans throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch/other drinks/chairs/shade
- The mobile home is available for rent during these seminars: 1 Queen Bedroom & bathroom $80/night, 2-twin bedrooms with shared bathroom $60 (each room)/night, 1 den with sleep sofa $60/night. Have a group? Rent the whole house for $500/weekend ($250 refundable damage deposit required).
